Just because I have consumed a rather large amount of alcohol, does not mean that my semi-drunken ramblings are not in fact, true.

Just because something’s new and slightly nerve racking does not mean that we should shy away from it, and go running back to the safety of someone we know well; especially since there is usually a very good reason why we broke up with them in the first place.

The common perception is that women do this frequently.

Well. So do men.

If we irrationally decide to run in the opposite direction of a new love interest; we need to at least have the decency to explain our reasoning for it.

It may seem like an overly simple point to make, but often, we don’t show this compassion to those brand-new and shiny people in our lives. Because deep down, we know that if we do; we will most likely talk ourselves out of the idea of running back into those familiar arms.

If you walk into a glass door once; you’re meant to learn not to do it again.

After all, you don’t want to look stupid.
